About My CookBook

My name is Jazmine Moore aka Chef Jazz and I am the author of More Than A Cannabis Cookbook.

This book defines the intersection between food and cannabis and demonstrates how you can cook with cannabis for health and happiness, and avoid common mistakes.

I decided to write this book because shedding a light on the relationship between cannabis and food can assist the growing population of individuals who suffer from common health issues that cannabis and diet can both help relieve.

This cookbook includes stories, templates, and research from thought leaders across the cannabis industry as well as my own experience as a Crohn’s survivor & Cannabis Chef.

I wrote this book in order to demystify cooking with cannabis and bend the perspective of cooking with cannabis AWAY from mislabeled sweets and processed treats TOWARDS the holistic use of the plant so you can create your own cooking with cannabis experience.

There are common mistakes that can make cooking with cannabis wasteful and intimidating. This cookbook includes stories, templates, and research from thought leaders across the cannabis industry as well as my own experience as a Crohn’s survivor & Cannabis Chef to cut the learning curve.

You will enjoy this book if you are a home cook or culinary expert who is keen to understand the relationship between cannabis and food and desire to avoid the common cooking with cannabis mistakes.

I have combined the latest culinary cannabis research with practices, templates, and recipes that actually support health and happiness This is my life’s work: Supporting people to master the art and science of cooking with cannabis to create their own story.

About The Author

Chef Jazz (Jazmine Moore) grew up in a unique household.  Her mother was both a restaurateur who cooked a wide variety of food and a firm believer in homeopathic remedies. Chef Jazz grew up knowing that foods have their own medicinal properties and that eating well was the foundation of health.

Then, in 2006, Chef Jazz was diagnosed with Crohn's disease, in her last year of Culinary College.  She felt awful, was losing weight, felt a lot of anxiety, and had trouble sleeping. Desperate to feel better, she first tried the prescriptions from her doctor, with the enormous side effects.   Chef Jazz returned to her homeopathic roots and started experimenting with cannabis and CBD in the form of consuming and inhaling.

Once she found the strain and method that worked best for her through extensive trial and error, she discovered that not only did her appetite increase, she also felt calmer and less anxious.  Within a year she had stopped taking her prescription medication, had gained back the weight she lost and was in full remission by 2008.

Wanting to share her unique knowledge with others, she started offering friends and family an “edible experience” designed to provide an elevated dining experience.  Her meals and gatherings were a huge hit in Washington DC amongst area patients. After the passing of Initiative 71 (voter-approved ballot legalizing the use of cannabis), it wasn’t long before she was offering this service to serve a wider demographic which gave life to Green Panther Chef. Since then Green Panther Chef has expanded its portfolio to include: Culinary CBD products, Wellness Consulting, Educational Cooking Classes, and a Cookbook.

Risks & Challenges

The biggest challenge with publishing a book is delivering the finished book to the backer, specifically my mailing of the book to you. I have eliminated this risk by building into the campaign the mailing and shipping costs of your signed copies to you within each pre-order tier.

The risk of delivering the pre-sale copies of my book is contingent on the publisher we use. I will be working closely with Gorham Printing to make sure we get the earliest possible shipping date of the signed book copy to you. We will keep all pre-sale backers up-to-date as my book hits each key milestone and publishes. You will know when the copies are expected to ship.

Other Ways You Can Help

Some people can’t contribute, but that doesn’t mean they can’t help:

Please share my pre-sale campaign on LinkedIn, Twitter, or Instagram with your professional network, friends, and family. Please use #MoreThanACannabisCookbook and tag me as well as the publisher with Gorham Printing, so that we can help amplify your efforts.

You can easily share my pre-sale campaign via Indiegogo at the top of the page.

Please share my cookbook with five co-workers, friends or family members, or whoever you think would enjoy it via WhatsApp, text message, or direct social media message.
